I liked Garfield as a kid. Still Kind of did. I once watched a ‘behind the scenes’ special on CBS where Jim Davis talked about always starting with the eyes. So I did, and it stuck.
These 6 characters have been with me for literal decades. I worked at an art store way back, and on a slow day I used a piece of scrap matte board and gel pens to draw them out. Their personalities evolved over time, too. I’ve attempted to keep them far from my own reality, but overlaps happen. Mostly well after the fact, even, as I find some of these characters’ interests and affectations in people I’ve met since their development.
Wizzle Doesn’t have legs; Phæx and Phæv don’t have arms and not a lot of the others understand them. Brrrr doesn’t even have arms or legs; and that’s all fine. Besides, it’s not like Jozzle and Lixi are exactly ‘normal’ people anyway.
If people never did silly things nothing intelligent would ever get done.

Inspired by video game characters, Homestar Runner, balance, and my general nerdiness and sense of humor. This is my own fun, and I’ve built a good buffer out. I want to put it in the world, but it is definitely it’s own world.
Subradia is an anagram of course, if you drop 2 letters. I like to hide and encode things in what I make; beyond just the visual metaphor and implication.
